Silverette provides protection, relief, and faster healing for sore nipples, making breastfeeding pain-free as quickly as possible so you can enjoy nursing moments as you are meant to!

Silverette is made of pure silver, which naturally has an antibacterial effect and promotes optimal conditions for wounds to heal quickly. In medical wound care, it has long been known that silver is very beneficial for wound healing, and now this is finally an option for use on sore nipples too. Silverette is registered and approved medical equipment in Europe.

Silverette also provides protection against friction and pressure from clothes/nursing pads, and they are everlasting, making them a good choice for the environment!

You can use Silverette for multiple breastfeeding periods and pass them on to other new mothers, as their effectiveness will remain consistently good. When using Silverette, you should not use creams for sore nipples or disposable compresses/bandages simultaneously. If you leak a lot, place a regular nursing pad (disposable or reusable) over the Silverettes.

Silverette has a rounded edge that does not create undue pressure on the breast, and its curved shape ensures that the nipple is not compressed when using Silverette.

Silverette comes in two sizes:

Regular: if your areola (the pink/brown area around the nipple) is less than 4.5 cm in diameter

XL: if your areola is over 4.5 cm in diameter

If you are unsure which size to choose, opt for XL. It will work for everyone.

Silverette does not contain nickel.

• After breastfeeding, express a little milk onto your nipple and place Silverette over the nipple
• Wear the Silverettes as much as possible between feedings
• If you leak a lot, place a nursing pad over them
• Do not use Silverette in combination with creams or ointments, as this may reduce their effectiveness
• PS: You do not need to rinse or wash the nipple before breastfeeding as stated in the English instructions

• Wash daily with warm water and a little dish soap, rinse well
• To keep them shiny, take a little baking soda and a few drops of water, then rub this mixture on the Silverettes, rinse well, and let them dry afterward.

It's an old wives' tale that sore nipples should be air-dried, but unfortunately, many are still advised to do so. The skin on our nipples is similar to the skin on our lips, and anyone who has had even a small cut on their lips knows how painful it is when it dries out. The same applies to nipples; when wounds dry, scabs form, and when you breastfeed again, these scabs are torn off. If the wounds are in a more moist environment, they will heal from the inside out, preventing scab formation. Silverette ensures that the wounds remain moist.
